Andrew Millington MIET. RPP. MBCS. CHPP. FAPM. FIOLM. PGCERT has extensive experience in the delivery of large scale complex international projects, programmes and portfolios, turning around failing projects and repairing relationships. Andrew has led global functions and diverse teams, introducing effective, tailorable governance, training, tools, lifecycle frameworks and the latest techniques and methodologies.
Andrew led the team that delivered the first flight systems and RADAR for the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. He then transferred to Eurofighter GmBH in Munich Germany, where he managed the overall development programme with the NATO customer and the 4 partner companies from Spain, Germany, Italy, and the UK.
Andrew went onto successfully lead several business units in a BAEsystems/Westlands Joint Venture, winning and delivering projects in diverse global markets and building enduring customer relationships.
Andrew has worked in many different sectors; Aerospace, Cyber Security, IT Services, Transformation, Infrastructure, and Maritime working and leading teams in the US, Australia, India, and across Europe. Andrew held many senior positions, Head of programmes, Operations Director, Director of Project Management. He was awarded a Global Project Management Fellowship by the CEO of BAEsystems for his commitment in the development of project management globally.
Andrew joined QinetiQ in 2019 as Group Director of Project and Programme Management, a £2Bn per annum global defence and technology company, where he led a global team of over 600 project professionals. Andrew was responsible for creating the global project management strategy and implementation, part of the CEO’s operational excellence programme and growth strategy.
Across his career Andrew has successfully delivered large scale complex programmes and portfolios. He has also transformed diverse, global organisations into stable mature delivery businesses, key skills include:

Andrew advises and supports project professionals, the professional body as well as Academia, and has spoken, judged, and presented at numerous events, on topics ranging from delivery techniques, career development, myths around project delivery and has authored several papers.
